Canadian Housing and Renewal Association Established in 1968, the Canadian Housing and Renewal Association is a national non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and strengthening the social housing sector.  CHRA´s mission is to ensure that Canada has decent affordable housing for all.

 

25 in 5 Network for Poverty Reduction 25-in-5: Network for Poverty Reduction is a multi-sectoral network comprised of more than 100 provincial and Toronto-based organizations and individuals working on eliminating poverty.We have organized ourselves around the call for a Poverty Reduction Plan with a goal to reduce poverty in Ontario by 25% in 5 years and 50% in 10 years.

Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association For over 20 years, ONPHA has been the voice of non-profit housing in Ontario.ONPHA unites over 760 non-profit organizations providing housing in 220 communities across Ontario. Homelessness Hub Building on the success of the Canadian Conference on Homelessness (2005), the Homeless Hub was created to address the need for a single place to find homelessness information from across Canada. Launched in 2007, the Homeless Hub is a web-based research library and information center representing an innovative step forward in the use of technology to enhance knowledge mobilization and networking.

 

York Homeless Research Network The York Homelessness Research Network is an initiative of York University bringing together scholars, students and community members who share an interest in research related to homelessness, housing and poverty.

 

York Institute for Health Research The York Institute for Health Research (YIHR) is home to a new breed of health researchers who actively conduct research from within interdisciplinary teams and cross-sectoral networks. With both eminent researchers and emerging scholars, YIHR draws together a range of social, biomedical, environmental, and behavioural scientists, as well as researchers from business, law, education, and the physical sciences.

 

Wellesley Institute The Wellesley Institute is a Toronto-based non-profit and non-partisan research and policy institute. Our focus is on developing research and community-based policy solutions to the problems of urban health and health disparities.

 

Tamarack Institute for Community Engagement: Tamarack is a dynamic organization that develops and supports collaborative strategies that engage citizens and institutions to solve major community challenges, and to learn from and share these experiences. We believe we can find a better way forward if different sectors work together strategically and comprehensively to build stronger communities.

 

Hamilton Poverty Reduction Round Table Hamilton, Ontario, is a vibrant community with a proud history of achievement. It’s a city located in an outstanding natural environment, and one that is rich in arts and culture. Hamilton has business, health and educational organizations that are famous world-over. But poverty is Hamilton’s biggest challenge, with 20 per cent of its citizens living at or below the poverty line. As a community, Hamilton is saying this is unacceptable.

 

Homelessness and Housing Umbrella Group The Waterloo Region HHUG is a non-partisan group consisting of concerned individuals, including individuals with lived experience, agencies and groups committed to preventing and reducing homelessness in Waterloo Region.

 

Calgary Homelessness Foundation Since 1998, the Calgary Homeless Foundation (CHF) has worked to reduce homelessness in our city. As of 2008, the Foundation received a new mandate: to end homelessness in Calgary in 10 years. Calgary’s 10 Year Plan to End Homelessness was created by the Calgary Committee to End Homelessness, a community-based, multi-stakeholder, leadership group who issued the Plan and selected the Foundation to implement the Plan.

 

Ottawa Alliance to End Homelessness The Alliance to End Homelessness (ATEH) is a non-partisan coalition taking action to end homelessness. Our Vision is an inclusive community that ensures everyone has an appropriate home.

 

Homecoming Community Choice Coalition HomeComing Community Choice Coalition promotes the rights of people with mental illness to live where they choose. Our coalition was formed in 2003 because we saw that “Not-In-My-Back Yard” discrimination was violating the rights of people with mental illness.
