Vision/Mission/Values
YRAEH has completed a strategic plan that has established a new focus for our work between 2009-2012.
Our Vision
Connected and Engaged Communities: Homes for All
Our Mission
Facilitate collaborative solutions to homelessness and poverty in York Region
Our Values
The York Region Alliance to End Homelessness is:
Collaborative – Our work is most successful when we work effectively, transparently and share accountability with others. We proactively partner with others who share our vision and values.
Responsive – We understand the needs of the community that we serve and respond to those needs efficiently and effectively with strategic problem solving.
Dynamic – As a learning community, we are comfortable with change. While constantly listening and learning, we strive to find innovative methods, processes and products to address the needs of our evolving and, often, volatile environment.
Inclusive – We actively seek and value the voices and strengths of individuals and organizations from all sectors and communities, especially those with lived experience. We create a productive space for dialogue to flourish.
Respectful– We treat people with dignity. We are accountable for how we act and behave.
Supportive – As a leading advocate, we empower and encourage individuals, organizations and the community at-large to collectively accept responsibility and support the homeless and disadvantaged as they build independence.
